Graduation
Before Graduation
Every student must apply for graduation, even if they do not intend to participate
in the ceremony. Submitting a graduation application triggers the official review
of your records, adds the graduation notation to your transcripts, and orders your
                                 degree, diploma, and/or certificate.
To ensure names are printed in the commencement program please submit your Application
                                 for Graduation by April 1.
You must successfully complete all program requirements with a minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average in order to be considered for graduation from the College. You can review your progress toward graduation by accessing your Interactive Degree Audit Report (DARS) within your eServices account (choose Grades and Transcripts, then Degree Audit Report).
Graduation with Honors
A student will graduate "with honors" if the cumulative grade point average is between
3.5 and 3.74, and "with high honors" if the cumulative grade point average is 3.75
                                 or greater.
If you borrowed from the Federal Student Loan program while enrolled at Minnesota West, you must receive exit counseling in your last semester of attendance.

Student Information
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation from Minnesota West!
A graduation ceremony is held each May for students who have completed their program
                                 requirements within the academic year.
Whether you plan to walk as part of the ceremony or not, you must apply to graduate
                                 to receive your diploma.
*Please note that attendance at the Campus Receptions is limited to those graduates
                                 and their guests.
The Commencement Program will be available and contains the full list of graduates.
Caps, gowns, and tassels will be available for pickup in the spring. Caps, tassels and high honors, honor and veteran’s cords are yours to keep. Gowns are provided at no cost (along with Phi Theta Kappa stole) and must be returned to Student Services immediately after the graduation ceremony.
Minnesota West recognizes graduates who have served or are currently serving in the military. Veteran honor cords in red, white, and blue, are available. Veterans are invited to wear the veteran honor cord with their academic regalia during the commencement ceremony.
For those guests unable to attend, a livestream will be available.
